A web interface accessible via Wi-Fi allows, properly configured, ImageIR® thermographic cameras to be controlled wirelessly and very flexibly using a smartphone or tablet. The web interface provides access to all functions familiar to the operator from the IRBIS® remote control menu. These include switching the camera on and off, selecting the calibration range, choosing the frame rate, setting the range and level, and configuring and starting the recording of individual thermographic images or image sequences.
If the camera has the appropriate equipment, advanced functions such as filter wheel positioning or zoom and focus settings can also be controlled directly via the web interface.
In general, all InfraTec thermographic cameras can be controlled remotely via smartphone or tablet. For models such as the TarisIR®, a PC connected to the camera provides the web interface and can be used as storage device.
Thanks to their internal software development kit (SDK), the latest generation of ImageIR® cameras can also operate completely independently: the camera functions are controlled either directly by software commands or via the graphical user interface of the web interface. The recorded radiometric image data can be stored immediately and automatically on the camera's internal memory (SSD) – without requiring any external PC connection.
As mentioned, cameras equipped with the proven electronics generation require an additional computer for wireless remote control. Control can be flexibly carried out via Android or Windows tablets with pre-installed communication software. The scope of delivery includes:
a high-resolution multi-touch TFT display for the reproduction of the native infrared real-time image
a robust, camera-specific mount for the display
power supply and a charger.
With a removable display that can be adapted to the camera for wireless camera remote control, stationary infrared cameras will be even more versatile.
Convenient and wireless remote control of all camera operating functions exemplified by a VarioCAM® HD head.
Camera control independent of platform via web browser or tablet separate from the data PC
Ideal for critical measurements where a greater safety distance to the measurement object is required (e.g. in explosion trials or in nuclear research)
