Software feature, available starting with IRBIS® 3 Professional
During outdoor analyses, strong winds, vibrations, or very long measurement distances can cause the object being analyzed to “move” in the image, making accurate measurement difficult.
The “Image Stabilization” feature in the IRBIS® 3 software, activated during recording, prevents such motion.
Image stabilization corrects the live image by having the software recognize typical structures in the image and keeps them in the same position. The first image captured after the feature is activated serves as a reference. For subsequent images, the shift is calculated using a Fourier transformation.
This feature does not affect the accuracy of measurements on the relevant structures. When stabilization is enabled, the image appears “smoother” while maintaining the usual quality, which makes working with it much easier.
