Spectral Thermography – Basics and Application

Standard thermography reaches its limits when measuring through glass, flames or reflective surfaces. Spectral thermography uses selected IR wavelength ranges (SWIR, MWIR, LWIR) to enable precise temperature measurements under these conditions. Join our online event to learn about the fundamentals, applications and system requirements for successful spectral thermography.

Spectral Thermography – Accurate Measurements for Challenging Materials

Spectral IR-thermography benefits from dedicated IR wavelength sub-windows and therefore enables precise temperature measurements with consideration of the IR specific behaviour of the object respectively of the measurement set-up. For example, it enables thermography of objects through a glass window but also of the surface of the glass.

Materials with specific spectral transmission or emission require a spectral adaptation of the measurement equipment, such as the integration of spectral filters in infrared cameras.

Learn more about the possibilities of spectral thermography and the requirements for infrared cameras and software in our online event “Spectral Thermography - Basics and Applications”.
