InfraTec Presents a New Generation of SWIR Infrared Cameras

ImageIR® 8100 & ImageIR® 9100 – high-resolution and radiometrically calibrated

The ImageIR® 8100 and ImageIR® 9100 SWIR infrared cameras expand the portfolio of high-resolution cameras for thermographic temperature measurement in the short-wave infrared range. They were developed specifically for measurement tasks typically involving high object temperatures and materials affected by radiation.

With a spectral range between 0.9 and 1.7 µm, they allow, for example, emissivity-optimised measurement of temperatures on metallic surfaces – in temperature ranges between 300 °C and 1,700 °C.

Compact design and light weight make both models ideal for integration into existing system environments.

Other Areas of Application
  • Metal industry: welding or smelting processes, and also for press hardening

  • Additive manufacturing

  • Laser processes

  • Ceramics and glass industry

  • Signature recognition and measurement

  • Solutions for integration

What's Inside the SWIR Infrared Cameras?

The ImageIR® 8100 and ImageIR® 9100 thermographic systems are radiometrically calibrated and available with (640 × 512) IR pixels and (1,280 × 1,024) IR pixels in VGA and SXGA image format. The small pixel pitch of just 5 µm results in a small detector chip diagonal. This in turn allows a comparatively low-cost and compact design of optics with high imaging quality. In combination with radiometric calibration, precise measurement results and brilliant thermographic images with high geometric and thermal resolution can be achieved in both formats. In SXGA format, even the finest details on large-area objects can be reproduced without any effort at all. The system can be conveniently adapted to real measurement scenarios thanks to numerous high-end interchangeable lenses with different focal lengths.

Because neither camera requires a mechanical cooler, both are suitable for maintenance-free continuous operation. With the SWIR cameras from InfraTec, users receive thermographic solutions that are set apart by their outstanding short and long-term stability.

Simple, Compact and Robust

The cutting edge interface concept employed ensures convenient camera control and data acquisition in full-frame format up to 237 Hz. Combined with the control and analysis programs from the IRBIS® 3 software family, InfraTec's SWIR infrared cameras are a versatile tool for a range of surveillance and measuring tasks.

Extremely robust, the ImageIR® 8100 and ImageIR® 9100 cameras deliver full performance even in harsh environments. The Software Development Kit (SDK) provides easy access to all functions of both cameras.
