Office Manager (part-time)

InfraTec GmbH was founded 1991 in Dresden / Germany and remains the headquarters for worldwide distribution. The privately held company manufactures and markets infrared components (pyroelectric detectors) and infrared cameras. We operate in the B2B wholesale market with industrial applications.

After 25 years in business the number of permanent employees worldwide now exceeds 225. We have been operating a small but successful U.S. subsidiary in Plano, TX since 2007 to manage the sales activities in the North American market. Currently, we have an opening for a part-time Office Manager to aid sales operations of the US subsidiary. The successful candidate will be:

  • Taking the lead of general business administration
  • Aid communication between German headquarters and the US subsidiary
  • Act as liaison with OSPs (outsourced service providers)

Starting in mid-late October 2019, we are in need of a highly motivated Office Manager with strong organizational skills and a high sense of urgency and detail. The right candidate successfully works with little supervision, is a self-starter and available 5 days a week, 4 hours per day, to work from our Plano, TX office location.


  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with legal business requirements, local customs and insurance needs
  • Interface to external Accounting, Tax Service and Finance Department of InfraTec HQ
  • Business travel organization
  • Expense report administration
  • Occasionally translates advertising and technical material (if bilingual)
  • Provides marketing support
  • Organizes trade show & conference attendance
  • Keeps office materials organized and readily available


  • Associates Degree in business or High School diploma with at least 3 years of related work experience
  • B2B work experience (1+ years) required, European experience is an advantage
  • Basic accounting skills (US GAAP) preferred
  • Bilingual (English/German) strongly preferred
  • Independent, professional and strategic business approach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • US work authorization (we do not sponsor any type of work visa for this part-time position)
